Founded in Stockholm in 2007, Select returns with a comprehensive DJ education built around an immersive, hands-on experience, combining fundamental to advanced DJ techniques with first-hand insight into the music and nightlife industries: where the opportunities are and how to create your own.
Courses take place in an exceptional, curated space with dedicated training stations and a professional nightclub DJ setup.

Every course begins with the fundamentals of DJing and progresses each day into more advanced techniques, covering technical skills, knowing your equipment, reading a crowd, timing, music selection and more.

THE INDUSTRY
At its core, Select is a DJ course. In addition, one day is dedicated to the business and opportunities within the music and nightlife industries, from creating and running your own event concepts to DJ and artist management.
We’ll also invite industry leaders who have built successful careers, businesses and brands to share how they did it, and to answer your questions.

Select DJ was founded in Stockholm in 2007 with a clear idea: to combine professional DJ training with real-world industry experience, giving students the experience of being a professional DJ.
As Scandinavia’s first professional DJ academy, Select pioneered a new approach to DJ education, taking students beyond technical training and into the environment, experience and realities of professional DJing.
Since its launch, Select has trained hundreds of students, influenced a new generation of DJ academies and contributed to Stockholm’s DJ and electronic music scene throughout the 2000s.

DJing has never been more popular or more accessible. More people are playing than ever before, at every level, yet we believe many don’t know the basics, know-how, or what it really is to be a DJ.
Since we left, the gap has never quite been filled in Scandinavia. And we believe the timing couldn’t be better. People are looking for real knowledge and real experiences.
A lot has happened in our time away. We’ve created concepts, built brands and continued working across music and nightlife. We’ve learned a lot, experienced a lot, and have even more to share now.
